I remember the day Club Penguin shut down. Penguins were screaming in rage, in the center of the town. They were shouting "NOT MY DISNEY" in simultaneous chants. It was almost like I could truly hear their cries to keep such a childhood game alive. I remember the staff being grouped up beside the fans of the game. People who weren't chanting, but instead peacefully waited for the last moments. They had a calm conversation. We all acknowledged this would be our last time playing this beloved game. In the end, we were all in tears as we waited for the timer to reach zero. We continued our conversation, talking about our achievements, our rewards, our recognition. And then, in the last moments. We all said goodbye to each other as the final seconds ticked down. And in that last moment, before "Goodbye" popped up, The staff said "I wish we could've kept this place living."
